Episode Synopsis: It has been three years since the last known surviving seed ship, Sidonia, has departed the Lem Galaxy in its renewed search for habitable worlds. About Sidonia: Rebirth and Other Information

About the Story and the Site
Sidonia: Rebirth takes place 3 years after the manga ends (Chapter 78 to be specific; the 4th month, 17th day and 7th year in the Lem-VII calendar precisely in the story). For more details as to what the characters have been up to since then, please give the story a read and provide me constructive feedback on areas where the story can improve and what the story is doing an excellent job on, on this blog or on my posts on Reddit. Once I have more time, I plan to do a multi-menu, more HTML-based, stand-alone website versus a blog template as I have here. The story is more of a primary focus for me at this moment and I hope you enjoy reading it as much I enjoy working on it and brainstorming plot ideas for it. Again, I’m open to all criticism, feedback and even plot ideas (will give credit if I use an idea), I only ask that these be given respectfully. I will do my best to produce a chapter roughly every week. The chapters are written in a mock script/screenplay format and would be considered one episode each. They will be available in a downloadable PDF.

As the disclaimer that will appear at the beginning of every single chapter states: Anything you recognize, I do not own. Sidonia No Kishi (alternatively “Knights of Sidonia”) is the property of the remarkable and talented Tsutomu Nihei, it is not my intellectual property. Sidonia: Rebirth is a fan-made derivative work of Knights of Sidonia and there is no financial gain made from this nor will any be sought. This spin-off story has been created purely for entertainment purposes and is my personal tribute to the incredible Knights of Sidonia series. No copyright infringement is intended.

Author’s Notes
Sidonia No Kishi Wikia – my favorite resource to go to for anything and everything Knights of Sidonia. Any continuity or technical issues please let me know (again respectfully) and I will appreciate it!

Lem VII and Lem IX – for these planets’ size, internal structure, atmosphere, weather conditions, etc. I used our own galaxy for reference. Earth for Lem-VII (the only confirmed habitable planet we know of so far) and Saturn for Lem-IX (a gas giant planet with rings).

Gauna – From what we know of this series’ adversary from the anime and manga, I used as a base and have filled the blanks in with my imagination. I will reveal my version of the Gauna overtime. As little is known about them already in canon, I have a lot of freedom to work with but again any inconsistency from what’s already established in the anime series and manga, please let me know! I try to do my best to spot these myself.
